FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • When will you ship my order?
    To avoid unpredictable weekend deliveries and long wait times in shipping facilities, Priority Mail orders received by 5:00 p.m. Friday will ship the following Monday. Orders received by 5:00 p.m. Saturday will ship the following Tuesday. Priority Mail Express orders recieved by 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday will ship the next day, other orders will go out the next Monday. All orders will be shipped with ice in insulated pouches. Despite these precautions, if you are shipping to an area of the country that is very warm, we strongly recommend that you select Priority Mail Express Shipping or save your chocolate craving until the weather cools back down in the fall.​ In certain weather conditions, only the Priority Mail Express Shipping option will be available.
  • What if my chocolate melts?
    While we here at Bliss take every precaution to make sure your chocolates arrive to you in pristine condition, we are not responsible for product that melts en route. When temperatures are over 65F we will include ice packs to keep your chocolates cool. If current temperatures where you live are above 80F (we're looking at you Texas, Florida, and Arizona), we strongly suggest overnight shipping as melting can occur even when your order is carefully packaged with ice. If you're unsure which shipping option is best for your weather, shoot us an email at jessica@blisschocolatier.com and we'll be happy to help you decide. Maybe you like to live on the edge. To take risks. That's great. Go skydiving instead. Take risks with your wardrobe. Not your chocolate.
  • How long do your products last?
    How hungry are you? ;) All of our products are made using fresh ingredients without commercial preservatives. For best results, keep your chocolates and confections at cool room temperature (60-70 degrees Farenheit) and consume as soon as possible. Or follow the following guidelines: Bonbons - consume within 14 days of purchase Caramels, Sponge Toffee, and Dragees - consume within 30 days of purchase Chocolate Bars - consume within 6 months of purchase
  • I have allergies--can I still enjoy your chocolates?
    We have many bonbons, bars, and confections that do not contain common allergens and we clearly mark all allergens on our packaging. While we strive to prevent cross-contamination, we produce products containing wheat, dairy, nuts, and soy and do not have a separate allergen free production space. If you have concerns about allergens, please reach out to us!
  • What brand of chocolate do you use?
    We proudly use Valrhona chocolate for the majority of our creations. Valrhona has long been respected as a leader in the pastry industry and is a Certified B-Corporation, which means it adheres to the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. Using the best chocolate we can makes our bonbons, bars, and confections shine. We can taste the difference in quality and know that you will too.
  • Can I choose which bonbons go in my box?
    Yes! Subject to availability, you may select the flavors that go into your box. Simply fill out the flavor request section when you place your order and we will do our best to get your favorites into your box. Additionally, each bonbon box has the option of being gluten or nut free. Just select that option from the drop down menu when you place your order.
  • I really, really love your key lime (lemon meringue, hazelnut crunch, etc.) bonbon? Can you make me a whole bunch of them?"
    We can certainly do that! Shoot us an email (jessica@blisschocolatier.com) and let us know what we can make for you. A 30-piece minimum order is required for any flavors we do not currently have in stock.
  • I'm getting married/my company is hosting a conference/I need holiday gifts that match my brand? Do you do custom orders?
    We do! We can create custom bonbons and confections, with or without custom packaging, for any occasion. Shoot us an email at hello@blisschocolatier and let us know what you're looking for.
  • Do you have a retail store I can visit?
    We do! We have a brand new chocolate production kitchen and retail shop. We are located at 3100 SW 7 Highway, Suite D in Blue Springs, MO. Come in and see us! Hours are: Tuesday - Friday 12:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
  • Can I send an order as a gift?
    Yes! We love helping our customers send gifts. Simply add "Make my order a gift" to your cart and choose what kind of card (or no card) you would like included in your order. Your recipient will receive their gift with your gift message and without any pricing information. Enter the destination of your gift in the "Shipping Details" section and then enter your own billing address in the "Payment" section when you check-out. Then pat yourself on the back for being such a thoughtful friend/partner/child/sibling/parent!
  • Can you provide a donation for our cause?
    Donation requests can be submitted via the link provided under the "Contact" information on our web site.
